Spread Kindness

I gave birth to "Hearts that Give" April 2019.  I have always wanted to spread kindness; I just didn't know how I would.  I shared my vision with two amazing nurses they encouraged me to go for it. The journey of  moving Hearts that Give from a vision to a reality forced me to face fears, take risks and most important; step out in faith!!  So here is what I did! I hosted create for a cause events at Panera and Gino's Pizzeria. Just as volunteers came forward and engaged with creating, COVID hit and volunteering was no longer an option.  During COVID my desire to spread kindness grew in my heart daily but my resources for volunteers was limited.

It became increasingly difficult to give away cards or any tangible item due too the virus. Everyone has been affected by the COVID season one way or another.   In spite of it all I decided I wanted to figure out how to spread kindness one card at a time!

Every good thing is never done by one single person, so I'm asking you to join me in an effort to spread kindness and build this grassroots organization to a multifaced organization.  Volunteers are needed to join me at card making event, sign up to volunteer to make cards, host a gathering to make cards or simply make a donation of stamps or card making supplies.  We need people who want to be apart of the change in this world that we want to see.

Will you join me in Spreading Kindness?

I Trust God

How many times do you say you are going to "let go and let God"? To say we are letting go of our situation so that God can do what only God can do means to trust him.  I don't know about you, but I have given so many things to God and have taken them back! One day I got tired of messing up what God set up! It took me some time, some prayer and I must admit a lot of "where did I go wrong thoughts", but I learned that If I asked for help, then I should let him help me. If I was going to truly let go then I should let God handle my situation. Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding".  Notice the text says "lean not on YOUR OWN understanding". I can say I don't understand a lot that happens but God has a way of making it work for my good and for that! I TRUST GOD!!

What are you Excited about?

What a great way to start a conversation with people by asking "what are you excited about?". In every season we can get excited about many things. I set goals all year long and during each season I spend time achieving those goals and documenting that journey through scrapbooks. Photos tell a great story!
So here is what I get excited about during each season. In the summer I get excited about the sun setting later in the evening, making a scrapbook of summer activities, ice cream, summer vacation and my favorite; my birthday. In the fall I get excited about apple pie, a cool breeze in the evening, back to school time and my favorite photos of kids getting on and off the school bus.  In the winter I get excited about spending time in front of the fire place in my family room reading, scrapbooking holiday pictures and my favorite family time during the holidays.   In the spring I get really excited about growing my garden, spring cleaning - letting go of the old and preparing for the new. So "What are you excited about"?

This is the year of "Completion" for me.  I'm committed to completing projects I've started but never finished. Last year was the year of "Success". I've completed my Masters in Education and Fundimentals in Baking at a really good culinary school. Next year is the year of "Discovery".

I enjoy a good challange.  Are you up for a challange? If so, follow my blog and let's grow together on this journey called life!
